Virtual Haustblót | Service | The Troth

On Sunday, October 15, at 4 p.m. Eastern U.S. time (20:00 UTC), Reverend Maire Durkan will host a virtual Haustblót (Autumn Ritual) honoring Thor, Sif, Freyr, Gerdr and Idunn.
This is a ritual for Heathens around the world who find themselves without a practice-group to celebrate the holidays, or are traveling, serving abroad or otherwise can’t make it back for a holiday celebration. It’s also for those of you who are just curious about the faith and want to see what we do.
If possible, have ready an offering of fruit or grain for your home altar.
The host, Maire Durkan, is a Friggswoman, an ordained Godsperson by The Troth, and a witch in the Assembly of the Sacred Wheel tradition.
Her spiritual work is deeply informed by her connection to deity, ancestors, and weal-working wights, and is deeply rooted in both of her spiritual traditions. She is also a children’s book author, poet, teacher, and birth and postpartum doula. She lives with her amazing husband Patrick (of 37 years), the youngest contingent of their nine children, a trio of spoiled felines, and four pet chickens, near the beautiful Brandywine River Valley of Northern Delaware.
