DESCRIPTION:Lauren Crow\, President and CEO of The Troth to conduct ritual at Arkansas Peace Week\nJoin us at Maumelle Park Pavilion 1 for a ritual for peace and justice! This ritual is part of Arkansas Peace Week\, an event that celebrates non-violence as a means to instill justice\, build stronger communities\, alleviate poverty\, promote ecological stewardship\, end war\, and eliminate the scourge of violence in our society; while seeking respect\, inclusion and fair treatment of all people. \nThe Hosts: Black Bear Kindred of Central Arkansas is a Heathen tribe based around Little Rock and Conway.\nWe meet monthly in either Conway or Little Rock for public meetups. Our Kindred: \n\nBelieves that the worth of those who follow our path is based on their deeds and not their age\, ethnicity\, gender expression\, or family status\nActively honors the Goddesses and Gods of pre-Christian Northern Europe who are commonly known as the Aesir and Vanir.\nBuilds ties to our local wights.\nHonors and remembers our ancestors and their contributions to our family luck.\nCultivates frith and fellowship among our kin.\nShapes our own tradition. This tradition is based on a foundation of Heathenry but also influenced by our local cultural resources and geographical considerations.\nNurtures the emotional\, spiritual\, and physical growth of our folk. Gives back to our local community as a group and as individuals.
