DESCRIPTION:Join The Troth for a Public Norse Pagan Prayer Service Every Saturday Night at 5pm Eastern (US)\nEvery Saturday night at 5pm Eastern\, our clergy will host a short Asatru public prayer service live on our Twitch Stream. \nClick the link here to get to the Twitch stream. Subscribe to the stream to join the Chat! \nWe also host a Sunday Service for our Membership at 9AM Eastern (US)\nLinks are available on our membership messaging platforms (Discord\, Facebook\, Email) \nWe hope you will join us Sunday at 9AM for a shared prayer service. \nFor both sessions\, there will be a short introduction where the member of the Clergy will go through their own practice. Each of our clergy does things a little differently because we are all different. Some in our clergy prefer to stand during prayer\, others sit\, others kneel\, and a few of them even fully prostrate. The Goði or Gyðja will go through what you’re about to do\, then will pray together\, and then we will have some time for questions from the Chat. \nAgain\, be sure to subscribe to the Twitch stream in order to participate in the Chat.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for a public prayer service for the Heathen community\nEvery Saturday evening at 6pm Eastern\, 3pm Pacific\nBefore you head out for the night\, why not stop by for a quick prayer service? Each week our Clergy will conduct a public prayer service that anyone can drop into from anywhere in the world. We recognize that Heathenry is a small religion\, and that we are spread out all over the world. Some of us in very remote parts of it! \nWe don’t have temples spread across the earth for people to go to with paid clergy to attend each and every congregation. Which is great to some of us who don’t miss the structure of more organized religions\, but it does get a little lonely. Here’s our attempt at making things a little bit less lonely out there. \nThe natural diversity of Prayer Service\nEach of the members of our clergy are unique in their theological approach\, so you will see a diversity of practice from Goði to Goði and Gyðja to Gyðja. For example\, Rev. Ben KG follows his “Threefold Prayer” but others follow a different model.

The days are getting longer\, the flowers\, trees\, and plants are blooming. The birds are returning from their southern sojourn\, and the other animals are awaking from their winter slumber. Ostara is a Goddess who symbolizes new life and revitalization. Winter is passing away and new life is blooming. \nThis ritual can be performed either indoors or outdoors\, with a community or solo. The time of day should be mid-morning between 8 AM – 11 AM. \nIf possible\, fresh flowers should be present to offer to the Goddess. Other symbols of spring such as eggs or hares should be present as well. Bread in the form of a hare or chick may be welcome. Ideally\, the ritual should be performed facing east to welcome the coming of the summer sun.

DESCRIPTION:About the Heathenry Essentials Study Chats\n\n\n\nWelcome to Heathenry (also known as Asatru).\nPerhaps you are beginning your journey as a Heathen. You may have friends or family that have become Heathen\, and you’d like to know more about it. We hope that\, as you work through the readings\, essays\, and sample questions\, you will develop a fuller understanding of Asatru and what it means to be Heathen in a modern context. This is a free resource available to the public as part of our continuing mission to educate and to serve. You can take this course without membership in The Troth to learn more about the basics of our faith. \nHow the Heathenry Essentials Study Chat Works\nThe first 60 to 90 min will be a discussion of the current subject chosen by those who attend the chat\, focused on the area of their interest. \nThis part will be recorded.  After the focused study chat\, the remaining time will be open for social chat. This part is not required to be attended for participation in the study group\, you can drop off if you’d like.  This portion will not be recorded.  If being recorded causes privacy to be a concern\, feel free to join with the video blocked\, or an attendee can put up a neutral picture in their free Zoom account. Attendees can change their names to a code name and use the chat feature if speaking and having their voice heard or recorded may be a concern. \nBy joining the zoom meeting for the chat part\, you are consenting and agreeing that you are aware the zoom chat will be recorded and may be posted to YouTube for students in the program. By joining\, and participating you are demonstrating that you consent to this. \nAll who join the room first enter the waiting room and then are admitted into the zoom room by the host. Upon entering the waiting room\, each attendee is auto set to join with their video and mic turned off so they can choose how they wish to present themselves. (To set their video/picture choices manually). This is also done in-case when people who enter the chat after the start time can still join without disturbing the class. A student can join the chat/social at any time while the zoom room is open and active. \nIf not speaking\, please keep your microphone muted. This keeps background noise down and stops switching of the focus of the video off the speaker. Those leaving their mic on and having background noise disturbing the chat\,     will first be requested to turn off-mic; the host may and will mute those who do not comply. For repeated offenses\, the person will be removed from the chat by the host. \nAll entering the chats agree to comply with The Troth’s position on Frith and inclusiveness:\n“The Troth takes great pride in being an organization that welcomes all people without judging them.
