SUMMARY:Frith Forge 2024 | International Conference of Inclusive Heathenry | Costa Rica
DESCRIPTION:Frith Forge is an international conference among inclusive Heathen organizations\, kindreds\, and individuals. The broader inclusive pagan communities and interfaith allies are welcome to participate as well.\n\n\n\n\nInternational Relations and Exchange was founded as a program to facilitate and support international collaboration and education by creating Frith Forge\, an international conference for inclusive Heathens. We didn’t just find groups that shared our values\, but groups that had already started this work overseas\, with long histories of their own\, struggles of their own\, and problems that we could solve better together than apart. We continue to nurture these lasting alliances\, and true friendships. We value the chance to participate in such high quality educational and frithful exchange. This connection helps us all weather the storms together that effect us all. \nThis year\, we are proud to present Frith Forge hosted in Costa Rica co-hosted by The Troth and the Asociación Ásatrú Yggdrasil. \nFor more information\, visit our Frith Forge 2024 Hub on The Troth’s Website.

SUMMARY:LA/OC Pagan Pride Day | Hallowed Horn Kindred & The Troth
DESCRIPTION:Join Hallowed Horn Kindred at LA/OC Pagan Pride Day on October 8th at Rainbow Lagoon in Long Beach.\nThe Troth will be represented there among many other Pagan faiths for what looks to be a beautiful day in Southern California! \nAbout Hallowed Horn Kindred\nHallowed Horn is a “kindred rooted in celebration and service\, open to all who seek to honor our Gods with worthy word.” \nAbout LA/OC Pagan Pride\nFrom the website. \n\n\n\nIn July 1999\, after the U.S. House Representative of Georgia\, Bob Barr issued a press release titled: “BARR DEMANDS END TO TAXPAYER-FUNDED WITCHCRAFT ON AMERICAN MILITARY BASES.” Selene Silverwind and Brian Ewing decided that Los Angeles Pagans needed an event to come together and celebrate our presence.  \nWe discovered the Pagan Pride Project organization in its third year\, planning approximately 35 events around the country to coincide with Mabon\, the autumnal equinox. We joined the Pagan Pride Project initiative with very little time to prepare and held our first Pagan Pride Day event on September 19\, 1999.  \nThe event received tons of help from dedicated volunteers and attracted 150 attendees\, including local LAPD officers. The officers who attended came away from the event with a new understanding of Pagans and paganism. And where heard frequently commenting that we were “all so nice.” \nAfter the massive success of our debut event\, Pagan Pride LA/OC was incorporated as a non-profit organization in November 2000.  \nWe knew Pagan Pride Day 2000 would need a larger venue. Our third coordinator\, Mysti Rosewind\, was instrumental in planning our second Pagan Pride event at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Long Beach\, CA.  \nIt was attended by over 700 people and received news coverage in two major daily Los Angeles county newspapers. \nBy the following year\, the Pagan Pride Project had spread throughout the country and internationally. Pagan Pride events had sprung up in Rome\, the United Kingdom\, Brasilia\, and Sao Paulo. \nLocally\, Pagan Pride Day 2001 was a sorrowful event\, occurring in the wake of the 9/11 tragedy. We gathered over 200 people at Balboa Park in San Diego\, CA\, and hosted a memorial and healing ritual for the families suffering from their loss. \nBy 2002\, the nation was still recovering from such a painful moment in our history. But Americans from all walks of life were also starting to unite in the spirit of togetherness. And perhaps it was this same spirit of unity that brought almost a thousand people to our Pagan Pride Day event that year. \nPagan Pride Day 2002 hosted fifty vendors and organizations\, eight performers\, eleven authors\, and ten workshops at Whittier Narrows in El Monte\, CA. The main ceremony was performed by the Covenant of the Goddess SoCal chapter\, as arranged by Raven’s Flight\, with awe-inspiring and soulful rituals conducted by the Raven’s Cry Grove and the Ancient Keltic Church. \nThe Pagan Pride Project\, Inc. currently stands at over 100 planned events in the United States\, Canada\, South Africa\, Australia\, Brazil\, Italy\, Great Britain\, and Portugal.  \nToday\, Pagan Pride LA/OC hosts one of the nation’s largest Pagan Pride Day festivals. It’s the one day of the year when Pagans can come together in one place to celebrate our diversity and raise awareness of pagan religions in our society. \n\n\n\n\n\nAbout the Venue\, Rainbow Lagoon Park\nFrom the website. \nLocated north of Shoreline Drive\, between Shoreline Village Drive and Linden Avenue\, this park is the remnant of Rainbow Lagoon by Auditorium Park before the lagoon was filled for the Long Beach Arena. Rainbow Lagoon is designed in a traditional Japanese style with two connected islands and surrounding park with high arched “rainbow bridges.” The area is turf\, with accenting trees. The Hyatt Hotel built its pool deck to the Lagoon edge. Rainbow Lagoon is filled with seawater\, and maintained at park level\, above sea level\, through pumps. The pumps and tide gates were replaced in 2004.

DESCRIPTION:Lauren Crow\, President and CEO of The Troth to conduct ritual at Arkansas Peace Week\nJoin us at Maumelle Park Pavilion 1 for a ritual for peace and justice! This ritual is part of Arkansas Peace Week\, an event that celebrates non-violence as a means to instill justice\, build stronger communities\, alleviate poverty\, promote ecological stewardship\, end war\, and eliminate the scourge of violence in our society; while seeking respect\, inclusion and fair treatment of all people. \nThe Hosts: Black Bear Kindred of Central Arkansas is a Heathen tribe based around Little Rock and Conway.\nWe meet monthly in either Conway or Little Rock for public meetups. Our Kindred: \n\nBelieves that the worth of those who follow our path is based on their deeds and not their age\, ethnicity\, gender expression\, or family status\nActively honors the Goddesses and Gods of pre-Christian Northern Europe who are commonly known as the Aesir and Vanir.\nBuilds ties to our local wights.\nHonors and remembers our ancestors and their contributions to our family luck.\nCultivates frith and fellowship among our kin.\nShapes our own tradition. This tradition is based on a foundation of Heathenry but also influenced by our local cultural resources and geographical considerations.\nNurtures the emotional\, spiritual\, and physical growth of our folk. Gives back to our local community as a group and as individuals.

SUMMARY:Twin Cities Pagan Pride Fall Festival 2023 | Troth Inclusive Heathen Hangout
DESCRIPTION:Come down to support Pagan Pride in Minneapolis at Minnehaha Falls Regional Park!\nThe Troth will be hosting a family friendly get-together on the occasion of the Pagan Pride Fall Festival at the beautiful Minnehaha Falls Regional Park in Minneapolis on Saturday\, September 9th\, 2023. Troth members are welcome\, as well as people who are just curious about Heathenry/Asatru in general and want to know more. \nTake the opportunity to explore the Twin Cities Pagan community to learn more about our history\, hear the stories and meet the people who were there when “stuff went down” in the ancient times of the… late 80’s and early 90’s. \nYou’ll be adjacent to the Southeast Minneapolis neighborhoods which offer a Dairy Queen in addition to great breweries and pubs like Merlin’s Rest. You can even go to Blue Door Pub where they will serve you a burger that has melty cheese on the inside. You’ll also be right across the bridge from St. Paul’s Highland Park neighborhood\, which has… Panera. \n(OK\, kidding\, go to Cecil’s Deli on Cleveland and thank me later for the best Ruben of your life). \nThe Twin Cities Pagan Pride Fall Festival is held annually the Saturday after Labor Day from 10:00am-6:00pm at Minnehaha Falls Park (4801 S Minnehaha Park Dr) in Minneapolis. We are located between the falls and the bandshell\, just south of the Sea Salt restaurant.

SUMMARY:Dayton Ohio Inclusive Heathen Meet and Greet | The Troth
DESCRIPTION:The Troth Meet & Greet: Come meet your new Ohio Steward\n\nI am putting a call out for like-minded all-inclusive Heathens\, Pagans\, or even those who are still curious or uncertain\, in the greater Dayton area to meet me on Friday the 8th of September (3:00pm-8:00pm) for a casual meet and greet\, so I may get to know our surrounding community.\n\nI hope anyone with the free time and within a comfortable distance can come introduce themselves\, their kindreds or groups\, and meet those of like minds for a few hours. I would enjoy spending time and hearing how you came along your Heathen path\, what you wish to see in Ohio’s greater community\, and anything else we might touch on as we get to know each other.\n\nI am Michael Brunswick and have been a pagan for the last 27-ish years\, heathen-ish for the last 4 years\, and Troth for just over a year. I have joined the Troth and volunteered for the position of Ohio steward to find community\, to be a point of contact for those who seek community\, and to do my very best to serve our community in all its needs.\n\n\n\nI chose to start in the greater Dayton area as it is closer to my home in Wapakoneta\, Ohio\, is a west central Ohio hub\, and has a large MetroPark area.\n\nWe will be meeting in Taylorsville MetroPark\, a park stating that it was one of the busiest crossroads in the country\, the meeting place of major transportation arteries – the Old National Road\, Great Miami River\, the Miami-Erie Canal and railroads. I found this as a very symbolic place to first meet. The Shelter will be the CCC Shelter on the east side of the park\, build in 1930’s by the Civilian Conservation Corps.\n\nThis rustic shelter has multiple rooms in case old friends or new wish to catch up\, a fireplace\, and access to trails if anyone desires a walk after.\n\n\n\nTaylorsville MetroPark\nShelter: CCC\n2101 U.S. 40\nVandalia\, Ohio 45377

SUMMARY:Philadelphia Pagan Pride | The Troth & Distelfink Schippschaft
DESCRIPTION:The Mission of the Pagan Pride Project is to foster pride in Pagan identity through education\, activism\, charity and community.\nIn keeping with that mission\, Philadelphia Pagan Pride Day is intended to bring together Pagans of all traditions to advance understanding\, communication and fellowship among the various communities. \nPhiladelphia Pagan Pride Day is an open\, public\, family-friendly harvest event. We welcome anyone to participate who supports our mission and/or wishes to learn more about the Pagan community and our beliefs. An important facet of the mission is to build community among Pagans\, and adherents of non-traditional faith systems and to educate the greater community about those beliefs. \nThe event is designed as a celebration of life and of a community that contains diverse elements. That being said\, we also find hate and intolerance in any form abhorrent and counterproductive to our mission. \nWe on the Philadelphia Pagan Pride Board of Directors are committed to our stated mission as part of the greater Pagan Pride Project. The integrity of Philadelphia Pagan Pride Day\, its mission and the safety of the participants are our primary obligations as organizers of the event. \n\n\nAny decisions made regarding changes to the schedule of events are based solely on the effort to fulfill our mission and to provide an enjoyable and meaningful event for our community. \nThe views\, opinions\, and outside affiliations of the participants and attendees of Philadelphia Pagan Pride Day do not necessarily reflect the views of the organization\, its Board\, or event volunteers. \n\nWorkshop: Heathens\, Animists and the Sacred Duty\nBy Steward Ambassador Stacey Lynne Stewart. \n3:00 PM – 4:00 PM
